The 2012 PAC Annual Conference will be held at Plymouth from 18 to 19 July. The theme of the conference will be on ‘Regionalisation, sustainability and governance: the next steps’. Call for Papers The term sustainability has been widely used by policy-makers at the national, regional and local levels in recent years, and has again come under focus through the Localism Bill and the aim of the coalition to become ‘the greenest government ever’. PAC 2012 seeks to access the success of sustainable governance broadly, and in particular, public administration at the regional tier. Papers are welcomed on aspects of regionalism, and sustainability, as well as on themes of emergency services, praxis and teaching. We also anticipate that a special edition of a leading journal in the field will come out of PAC 2012 at Plymouth. Themes are as follows, but please note we welcome panel proposals and suggestions for themes. Streams:
